Overview

Our I-6 program is designed to train motivated candidates to become academic leaders in Thoracic Surgery. The first three years entail comprehensive training in prerequisites for cardiothoracic surgery, including general/vascular surgery, cardiology, and critical care. The last three years are devoted to extensive training in all aspects of cardiothoracic surgery. There is also an exceptional opportunity for interested trainees to earn a concurrent PhD.
