PHM fellows are enrolled in an intermediate quality improvement course at Dayton Children's Hospital. PHM fellows have the opportunity to gain community hospital medicine experience at the Air Force Base Medical Center and Ohio community hospitals outside of the primary site, Dayton Children's hospital, a free standing children's hospital with >10,000 admissions per year.
