Overview

The fellowship program provides a broad and deeply comprehensive exposure to all aspects of transfusion medicine through experiences in blood bank, HLA and hemapheresis. The fellow acts as an integral part of the team and spearheads the initial investigations into patient care issues under the supervision of full-time attending transfusion medicine physicians. SUNY Upstate is a Level 1 trauma center and regional oncology center performing autologous stem cell transplants procedures.
