The University of Kansas Department of Internal Medicine trains geriatricians through a fully accredited fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. After completing the fellowship, our physicians pursue Geriatric Medicine careers in either community or academic settings. The fellowship provides the proficiency needed to pass the board examination in Geriatric Medicine. Such certification gives physicians recognition among their medical peers as consultants in Geriatric Medicine.
