University of New Mexico School of Medicine (Santa Fe) Rural Program
About This Program
Our program's intern year at an academic medical center forms a foundation for success at our community-based experience in years 2 and 3. Our program provides clinical experiences at Christus St. Vincent , La Familia Medical Center, and Christus St. Vincent Family Medicine Center. Residents complete a rotation in Advocacy and Legislation. Recruit six residents per year and have a 100% board pass rate. More than half go on to serve underserved communities, 40% rurally after graduation.
