The aims of the fellowship program are the education and training of cardiac anesthesiologists to provide world-class patient care for cardiothoracic surgery. The one year fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology is dedicated to clinical experience, didactic sessions, and teaching, with opportunities for clinical and basic science research. Fellows develop clinical, technical and cognitive skills necessary for the successful care of patients requiring complicated cardiac procedures.
