The UIC Nephrology Fellowship is a two year program with an optional third year focusing on research. Fellows spend the first year of training in the outpatient and inpatient nephrology care services where they assume primary responsibilities as consultants. The inpatient and ambulatory experiences provide extensive exposure to a wide range of pathology in three different health care systems (University of Illinois Hospital, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County)
