The IU School of Medicine Psychiatry Residency program in Merrillville, accredited September 2020, expands the opportunity for resident training in Northern Indiana. The program is currently recruiting a new class of residents to start training in July 2022.

Resident training includes a wide variety of quality clinical experiences and educational didactics through Regional Care Group, Indiana’s largest and most comprehensive network of community based healthcare and social services. Regional Care Group treats the whole person using a continuum of care through Regional Health Systems (Regional Mental Health Center and Regional Health Clinic), Geminus Corporation, and Lake Park Residential Care.
