The University of Maryland is a quaternary care facility serving the local urban community of Baltimore as well as transfers from all over the state of Maryland for specialty care. The high patient acuity & UMMC's nationally-recognized programs in trauma, transplant, oncology, & cardiovascular care yields excellent education across the spectrum of patient care, in a variety of complex populations. Training in interventional pulm, ECMO, & neurocritical care add to the strength of the curriculum.
