Geisinger Health System (Wilkes-Barre) Program
About This Program
Our program has a focus on preparing physicians to practice in community settings. In place of the traditional Inpatient Pediatrics Hospice experience, we have partnered with a community organization, St. Joseph's Center, in our region to provide a Complex Pediatrics experience. This rotation focuses on learning about and how to care for the needs of children with intellectual and physical disabilities, including chronic tracheostomies and feeding tubes, in a day-care like setting.
