About This Program
Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit's General Surgery residency program is anchored at our flagship Henry Ford Hospital (Main) downtown campus. We are a level 1 trauma center, co-located with a Cancer pavilion. We house one of the largest simulation centers in the Midwest and an Innovation institute on campus. The department of surgery historically has had a tradition for clinical innovations, and visibility for clinical research with seminal papers in Vascular, Cardiothoracic, and Oncological surgery.
