University of Alabama Hospital (Birmingham) Program
About This Program
UAB's Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency was approved in 2016. This five-year program offers strong training in diagnostic radiology and the clinical and procedural aspects of IR. We match two residents per year. The curriculum includes three years of diagnostic imaging and two years of IR. Residents take DR call for four years and IR call in the final year. Our IR section offers broad procedural experience and is deeply involved in clinical care and patient management.
