LLU's Addiction Medicine Fellows develop skills for the diagnosis & treatment of substance use & eating disorders. Special populations include impaired professionals, adolescents, pregnant women, veterans, & geriatrics. There is special emphasis on withdrawal mgmt, relapse prevention, use of buprenorphine & methadone, nicotine/tobacco treatment, & pain mgmt. The fellows see patients who are Veterans, who have private insurance, & who receive public assistance.
