About This Program
Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is a major public teaching hospital jointly administered by LA County Health Agency and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. It serves a diverse, underserved patient population. The hospital provides a designated psychiatric emergency room which serves thousands of patients every year. Residents begin their outpatient training half-time in their 2nd year which continues through 4th year. Psychotherapy training is emphasized along with psychopharmacology.
