About This Program

Our program is located in the heart of Central Alabama and is the only Rural-focused Psychiatry Residency in the state. As an FQHC, residents at the Cababa+UAB Rural Psychiatry Residency work in an integrated, multidisciplinary primary care facility. Created with the Collaborative Care Model of mental healthcare as its focus, residents will engage in bidirectional consultation and collaboration with primary care, behavioral health, and pharmacy colleagues throughout their four years of training.
