Texas Department of State Health Services Program
About This Program
The Texas DSHS Preventive Medicine Residency provides hands-on training in public health and population medicine at the local, regional, and state levels. Residents receive comprehensive and experiential training in public health and population-based preventive medicine through the resources of our health department and external partners. Our program emphasizes leadership development and proficiency in the skills needed to promote health, prevent disease, and improve population wellness.
