Overview

The Texas Department of State Health Services preventive medicine residency provides hands-on experience in public health and population medicine at the local, state, and national levels. Recognizing that preventive medicine specialists are in high demand, trainees receive the comprehensive training necessary to excel in the field. Our program prioritizes the key leadership, public health, and clinical skills necessary to promote health, prevent disease, and improve population wellness.
