California Department of Public Health Program
About This Program
The CDPH PMRP trains physicians to embark upon careers in California public health agencies, such as in the role of city or county health officer or state-level disease director. Public health physicians oversee public health policy, programs, and disease surveillance, as well as interface with state and community stakeholders. CDPH PMRP has relationships with all public health agencies in California, allowing residents to be placed across California, depending on their preference and interests.
