Overview

The program serves a diverse patient population across urban and rural areas of Upstate New York, including Amish/Mennonite communities, economically disadvantaged and affluent individuals, as well as a significant refugee population. It boasts the second-largest surgical volume in the state and the highest acuity in Upstate NY. Fellows benefit from high case volume due to a low trainee-to-volume ratio. Additionally, there are opportunities for graduate education with a 95% tuition benefit. -
