About This Program
The PICU at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is a 21 bed combined medical/surgical and cardiac ICU, with approximately 250 open heart cases per year. Critical Care fellows provide coverage to all patients in the PICU and have longitudinal exposure to high-complexity cardiac cases throughout the program. Additionally, the PICU covers busy trauma, neuro/neurosurgical, transplant, ECMO/VAD and medical services.
