Overview

The Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Regional Autopsy Center contracts with the state Medical Examiner's Office to perform medicolegal autopsies in 33 counties that encompass both rural and urban areas. On-site expertise in postmortem radiology and neuropathology is available. Easy access to forensic anthropologist also available. Funds are available to attend a wide array of conferences. The autopsy center will soon be moving into a new stand-alone facility.
