UNM equips its fellows with essential competencies in the clinical, technical, investigational, and administrative aspects of blood banking, coagulation, and therapeutic apheresis. Transfusion technologies at UNMH include the BloodTrack (remote blood allocation refrigerators), gel, solid-phase, and tube immunohematology testing, Quantra viscoelastic testing, and a sophisticated HLA laboratory.
