The division of transfusion medicine supports solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplant programs; an active cellular therapy and regenerative medicine program; a Level I trauma center; high-risk neonatal and obstetrical programs; and large and diverse medical and surgical practices. It has a large intraoperative autotransfusion service and one of the busiest therapeutic apheresis services in North America.
