The USD Sanford School of Medicine Pathology Residency Program operates within Sanford Health, one of the largest integrated health systems in the U.S., which includes 48 medical centers, 211 clinics, and over 2,900 providers. This partnership offers residents a rich clinical experience, with exposure to 52,800 surgical specimens, 25,156 cytology cases, 400 bone marrows, and 312 autopsies annually, ensuring training across a broad range of pathology.
