About This Program

The Virginia Commonwealth University Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship, directed by Dr. Seth Cheatham, offers comprehensive training in a high-volume academic practice with experienced sports medicine faculty. Fellows gain extensive experience in arthroscopic and open surgery of the knee, shoulder, and hip, outpatient sports medicine care, research, didactics, and athletic team coverage from the high school to professional levels. Through graduated autonomy, fellows are prepared for independent practice and the comprehensive management of sports medicine patients.
