About This Program
In 1970, Hawaii became the first state in the Union to allow abortion at the request of a woman. In 2012 we were proud to become the 25th Family Planning Fellowship site. Fellows provide clinical care for patients who reflect the diverse cultural makeup of the state and come from both Hawaii and the broader Pacific region. Fellows work on multiple islands, develop and complete a research project that aligns with their interest and passion, participate in policy and advocacy projects locally and
