The vascular neurology fellowship at SUNY Downstate provides excellent training in the treatment and prophylaxis of cerebrovascular disorders in hospital and outpatient settings. Neurointerventional radiology, perfusion imaging and Doppler ultrasound are available. The fellows participate in several NIH sponsored clinical trials. Basic research opportunities are also available and potential training in telestroke.
