About This Program
UMMC is Mississippi's only academic health sciences center and the state's sole Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level IV NICU, and NAEC-4 Epilepsy Center. Residents train on a high-acuity, diverse population with early OR access, rotations at national centers, protected research time, enfolded fellowships, cross-specialty clinics, frequent cadaver labs, cutting-edge technology, and a strong emphasis on continuity of care.
