UVA Health serves a large referral region spanning central Virginia and parts of West Virginia and Tennessee, providing fellows with exposure to a broad spectrum of cardiovascular disease. We are projected to perform approximately 20 heart transplants and 30 durable mechanical circulatory support implants this year.
