Overview

Fellows at UNC ID have dedicated rotations on antimicrobial stewardship, OPAT, hospital epidemiology, and STIs and may conduct bench, translational, epidemiological, or clinical research in multiple ID areas. Trainees have the opportunity to carry out ACGME approved clinical training at two sites in Africa in conjunction with global health research. UNC ID is a site for a Joint ID/EIS fellowship that includes 2 years of ID fellowship followed by 2 years in the CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service.
