About This Program

The LSU ID program provides a solid foundation in the practice of clinical infectious diseases in preparation for a future career in the private practice or academic setting. Fellows predominantly work at UMCNO, a tertiary care center with extensive exposure to the care of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, and other infections common in indigent and trauma patients. Fellows also receive training in transplant infectious diseases at large regional transplant centers.
