Harlem Hospital Center, the largest hospital in Central Harlem and the only Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan, provides outstanding care to all New Yorkers. Its Internal Medicine Residency offers diverse training with 282 beds, 346K+ clinic visits, 77,537 ER visits, and 602 births annually. Residents manage complex cases in a unique urban setting, emphasizing health equity, rigorous clinical training, and community engagement, continuing a legacy of strong, compassionate physicians.
