This program serves the biggest underserved county in the United States. Residents have exposure to every kind of underserved patient: undocumented, socioeconomically disadvantaged, veterans, and patients living in rural areas. Residency program leadership encourages resident involvement in growth and change of the residency program. We have a board pass rate of > 90% and in-house fellowships that have strong preference for candidates from home residency program.
