Charleston Area Medical Center/CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine Program
About This Program
Charleston Area Medical Center is a large referral center for southern WV. This provides a unique training environment of high acuity patients at the program's three distinct sites that include a Level 1 trauma center, a Cardiovascular center, and a Pediatric Hospital. Residents work one-on-one with attendings to see a wide array of pathology and acuity that leads to early competence and autonomy. CAMC also sponsors an EMS and Critical Care fellowship for options post-residency.
