Overview

In operation and accredited since 1974, the EM Residency program at Wake Forest University SOM is the earliest established EM residency program in the southeast and one of the first EM programs in the US. Our ED, a Level I adult and pediatric trauma center, has an annual volume of more than 110,000 patient visits. WFEM is a leader in research, and it offers a multitude of fellowship opportunities. Residents explore these exciting sub-specialty areas through many available academic tracks.
