One Brooklyn Health System/Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center Program
About This Program
The Brookdale Emergency Medicine Residency program began in 2016, serving the neighborhoods of Brownsville, East New York, Canarsie, and East Flatbush. Social disparities in these neighborhoods drive a high proportion of sick patients to our doors seeking help. Our program aims to train physicians who are socially-conscious as well as clinically competent. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion in addition to promoting engagement within our surrounding community.
