The University of Maryland Emergency Medicine (UMEM) Residency Program has been training the world's leading emergency physicians since 1991. Residents benefit from robust clinical training and exposure to multiple ED environments, preparing them to be leaders in the field of EM. Our faculty are known for excellence in clinical education and teaching- whether at the bedside or on national stages. Graduates find success in both academic and community practice utilizing the skills honed at UMEM.
