Unity Health-White County Medical Center Program
About This Program
Our program hosts an annual Wilderness Medicine Training Day. Residents split into teams, hike the wilderness, and encounter various simulation stations. They must provide care for critically injured 'patients' using limited resources, emphasizing critical thinking and decision-making. Each spring, residents and core faculty travel to Memphis, TN, for Cadaver Lab. This two-day wellness and education event improves resident well-being, fosters a sense of belonging, and enhances procedural skills.
