About This Program

With our proximity to the US-Mexico border and several reservations, our patient population includes a large number of Hispanic and Native American individuals. While in the ED, several shifts per month during the third year, our residents serve in the role of Resuscitation Captain, where they do not primarily care for individual patients but assist with leading resuscitations, caring for critically ill patients, and teaching and assisting more junior residents with procedures.
