The University of Washington is a part of the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) catchment area offering an unmatched range of pathology and exposure to basic as well as complex cases across the spectrum of colon and rectal surgery. Trainees receive an allowance in the sum of $8500, intended to offset the cost of living in Seattle. The allowance is included in the total compensation schedule which is paid out in each paycheck throughout the academic year.
