About This Program
Since 1956, the GME program at UT Medical Center, Knoxville, has trained the next generation of physicians. The Department of Anesthesiology offers outstanding education and clinical experience to prepare residents for successful careers. Residents gain autonomy while managing complex surgical cases in a growing community near the Great Smoky Mountains. Our supportive program emphasizes clinical excellence, research, and professional growth.
