Spinal cord injury medicine addresses the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of traumatic spinal cord injury and non-traumatic myelopathies, including the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of related medical, physical, psychosocial, and vocational disabilities and complications during the lifetime of the patient.
The care team is comprised of inter-specialty healthcare professionals providing care on a lifelong basis, including related medical, physical, psychological, and vocational disabilities and complications. This specialty encompasses patients of all ages.
