Pulmonary/Critical Care Subspecialty/Fellowship Training

Education and fellowship training in pulmonary/ critical care medicine is overseen by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Certification examinations in pulmonary and critical care are administered by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Pulmonary/critical care fellowship is also a pathway for further training in sleep medicine fellowship.

The American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) and the American Thoracic Society offer programs and resources for residents, fellows and trainee professionals.
