Combined Training Programs

Allergy and Immunology Subspecialty/Fellowship Training

There are approximately 78 U.S. allergy/immunology programs accredited by the Accreditation Council  for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). A minimum of 24 months of fellowship training in the care of both children and adults with allergic and immunologic conditions as well as experiences in scholarly activities is required. After successful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in allergy/immunology, a physician may apply to sit for the certification exam conducted by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI).
