John Peter Smith Hospital (Tarrant County Hospital District) Program
About This Program
The JPS Transitional Year Residency offers broad, hands-on clinical training at Tarrant County's safety-net health system and Level I Trauma Center, caring for a diverse, high-acuity, underserved patient population with complex medical needs. Residents work alongside dedicated teaching faculty in a collaborative, supportive environment that emphasizes autonomy, clinical reasoning, procedural experience, and interprofessional teamwork.
