Overview

UW serves a 5 state region in the Pacific Northwest and is the largest or only tertiary referral center. Clinical experiences include a university hospital, a VA hospital, a safety net urban hospital, and a children's hospital. The combined internal medicine medical genetics residency is designed to train future academic physician leaders to be competent in both specialities, and to develop special expertise in caring for adult patients with genetic conditions.
