As the nation's first officially designated, separately accredited ACGME Rural Track Program in Surgery we provide residents with the support and opportunities necessary to meet the unique needs of a rural surgical practice. The nature of the program enables residents to gain OR experience in PGY1 and Chiefs' cumulative case volume to exceed requirements. The relationship with our sister program, the MUSOM General Surgery Residency, provides residents with additional support from their peers.
