The program is a quaternary hospital in a rural/suburban area with both complex and routine general surgery cases with few fellows. Residents get exposure to very complex cases and have very short commutes. In addition, the program offers multiple resident support for education with innovation in simulation and use of online national programs for ABSITE, qualifying and certifying exam preparation.
