The general surgery residency at Womack Army Medical Center offers an operationally-focused program with the aim of creating excellent independent surgeons capable of caring for our nations elite warfighters. Our curriculum centers on a high operative volume combined with a structured academic schedule. Involvement in military medical activities is highly encouraged and supplements surgical training to best prepare graduates for the unique surgical problems encountered in the military setting.
