About This Program
Upstate Medical University's General Surgery Residency Program provides the full depth and breadth of General Surgery training. Located in Syracuse, New York, the program has an exceptionally large catchment area that spans from the Pennsylvania border in the South to the Canadian border in the North. As the only academic and tertiary care center in Central New York, our residents are exposed to a variety of surgical pathologies and cases in every discipline including acute care surgery/trauma,
